Tonight David caught a 3 foot python on the steps of the house as it was trying to eat a dead mouse. Now it's sitting on the coffee table next to my computer, tied up in a pillowcase. I think he'll release it tomorrow. Odd, the sort of things that become routine so quickly.

Tomorrow Kat and I leave for Ruaha for two days, courtesy of WCS. It's our first time back there since we were here with Houghton, and our first time ever in the dry season. I'm borrowing some of David's telephoto lenses. With any luck, I'll have some images to post on our return!

I'm infinitely envious that you get to go back there -- I loved it in Ruaha. Say hi to the giraffes for me :-p

Don't get stomped on by elephants. It seems to be an unsettling too-frequent occurance! ;)

Yeah those crazy little things that become routine so quickly... just the other day I had realized that I'm yet again behind on my paper writing for the semester... blast those silly little things.
