I just got an email back from a friend here in Washington who works with World Vision as the Senior International Finance Officer. Since I have known her for a long time (9 years?!), she knows the depth of my cross-cultural involvement - which is a good contact to have in an industry where most jobs require 2-5 years of experience (which technically I don't have). Anyway, WV has a lot of job openings in their Washington DC and Washington state offices, and Sonia seems very willing (dare I say, eager) to help me navigate through the pool of applicants.
Anyway, it's an exciting prospect! It is times like these (when I would LOVE a salaried position with benefits right out of college), that it is tough to pray "THY will be done" and not "MY will be done". But I really desire HIS will. Maybe that will be WV, maybe not. Tutaona, mungu akipenda. Enshallah. Primero Dios.
Either way, the prospect thrills me!
