This page will serve as the medium for the chronicles of my adventures and thoughts over the next few months while I am studying in Tanzania with Houghton. As I was considering how to impart a small piece of my experience to my friends, I decided to go with an online journal rather than weekly update emails for mainly two reasons: 1. I don't want to clog people's inboxes with my life if they don't really care. :) I figure with an online journal, people who really care can check this page, and those who don't won't have to! 2. This is easier for me.
So (being the semi-computer-literate person that I am) with the help of my wonderful girlfriend (thanks Katrina), we got this puppy up and running. Updates may be erratic, as some weeks we will be travelling about, but I hope to update about once a week.
As I sit here writing at home on the Rockton Mountain, the powdery snow blows about on the other side of the windowpane. It snowed quite a bit last night, and I woke this morning to thick blanket shrouding the ground. It will provide quite a contrast as I set off for London on Saturday night.
YHWH has opened doors, and I have done my best to follow. I anticipate the things that God has in store for me over these next days and months. I will covet your prayers for travel mercies as I drive to New York on Saturday (Jan. 22) and fly out for London on Saturday night.
