Charles Taylor

This summer I worked with Dave Farah at SIL's DC headquarters. All summer I heard updates about his son, Doug Farah (http://www.douglasfarah.com), a reporter with the Washington Post. Doug was working at extreme personal risk for the extradition of Charles Taylor. Doug met Charles on a couple of occasions, and has had at least one assassination attempt on his life.

Today, some 9 months since I've been aware, and 15 years since Taylor began committing horrific war crimes in West Africa, he has been taken into custody.

This marks the beginning of the even more difficult battle for justice and reconciliation.

Pray for the people of Sierra Leone and Liberia. Pray for the those involved in the War Crimes Tribunal in Sierra Leone. Pray for Charles Taylor.
